What is Xeriscaping?
Xeriscaping refers to a gardening methodology used to create water efficient landscapes that do not require large quantities of additional irrigation.
Xeriscaping is about creating a cohesive and balanced landscape using low water plant species, native adapted plants, and water saving materials to capitalize on the benefits of an arid climate. Xeric landscapes can be quite beautiful and efficient if installed correctly.
Reasons to Xeriscape
Help environment (save
water)
Lower your water bill
Create a low maintenance landscape (less mowing watering, pruning, etc...)
Adapted tolerant plants thrive even in unideal situations (droughts, water restrictions, etc...)
Xeriscaping is a responsible approach to landscape design that uses native plants and drought-tolerant species to aid in water conservation. Xeric plantings need little or no additional irrigation to stay beautiful and thrive in the summer.
